We hope that the following “frequently asked questions” and their respective responses are helpful to you.
Q: What time do the doors open in the morning?
A: Students who eat breakfast may begin entering the building at 8:05 a.m. All other children may begin entering the building at 8:10 a.m.
Q: Can students eat breakfast at school?
A: Yes, although optional, students may go directly to the cafeteria and purchase breakfast. If students are dropped off late by a parent, they may miss breakfast.
Q: What time is lunch?
A: Third grade lunch hour is 10:55 - 11:40. Fourth grade lunch hour is 12:00 - 12:45. Fifth grade lunch hour is 11:30 - 12:15.
Q: How do students pay for lunch?
A: We use Meal Magic accounts that allow students to make deposits into their personal debit account. Each student learns their unique numeric code that allows them to access their account via a keypad. This code stays with them from year to year and is also used to access their computer privileges. Lunch is $2.00 at full price and $0.50 for students who qualify for reduced lunch. Parents can make payments on-line to www.sendmoneytoschool.com. To set up the on-line payment parents need to have their student's student number. Students can also make deposits into their account any day of the week by dropping off an envelope with their first and last name and teacher name to the cashier during breakfast. Snack bar (which is optional based on parent discretion) has extra snacks and items that can be purchased after students have eaten their hot or cold lunch.

Q: How is medication handled at school?
A: We are happy to help you in this regard. Please understand that Michigan laws and guidelines regarding student medication are very strict to ensure safety. Students who require medication of any form (prescription or over the counter) at school must complete the necessary forms in the office and work with the school to establish a schedule of administration in accordance with any doctor’s orders. Medication may not be sent to school with a child to be dropped off at the office. Likewise, parents are not allowed to send daily medication in a child’s lunchbox. Prescription medicine must be brought in the original pharmacy container with the identification / prescription label still visible. We will not provide your child with aspirin, or other common over the counter products unless you have brought the product in and completed the proper forms.
