Welcome to Shoreline Elementary, home of Whitehall's kindergarten through second grade students. Shoreline Elementary was built in 1994 with the young child in mind. The school is split into 4 academic wings, each with a large common area that can be used for a variety of activities ranging from large-motor activities, to small group or one-on-one tutoring and instruction. Each wing contains its own computer lab and kitchen for further classroom extensions.

The staff at Shoreline is committed to the unique job of educating young children. Teachers and classroom aides have been trained in the Evidenced-Based Learning system for reading support. Teachers have been trained in Integrated Thematic Instruction (ITI), a brain-based learning process. Shoreline teachers use a variety of techniques and materials to help each child reach the Michigan Grade Level Content Expectations such as whole language techniques, four block techniques, trade books, basal series text, and other reading series books like Frog Street Press. The teachers have also all been trained in Math Their Way to help support a hands-on approach to math instruction. Each staff member strives to meet the individual needs of each student.
