Hats for Big Brothers/Big Sisters
Every year, Business Professionals of America has a statewide community service project. This year’s project is helping Big Brothers Big Sisters. This organization emphasizes their attention on providing adult (“bigs”) mentors to help children (“littles”) reach their full potential and build a structured future. Most “littles” come from single-parent, low-income households. Big Brothers Big Sisters makes it possible for every child to be able to create strong healthy relationships.
On Friday, December 16, 2016, our local BPA chapter is going to be hosting “Hats for Big Brothers and Big Sisters” in our school district. On this day, students and staff members may bring in a hat to wear to show their support for the Big Brothers Big Sisters youth mentorship organization. To participate, each student/staff member will need to bring in $1 for donation and their favorite hat!
